Patriotism can be defined in a broad understanding as devoted love, support, and defense of one’s country; national loyalty.

Examples:

1; We thank him publicly for his companionship and patriotism after the NRL tournament finals.

2; Our Patron defined Patriotism as serving your country and waving the flag with pride and dignity.

3; His wisdom and patriotism will become a good lesson to young people.

Note:

Demonstrating patriotism can come in different forms. Waving the flag is an obvious way, but anything that celebrates your country or makes it stronger is a great display of patriotism. Whenever a country is at war or celebrating independence , people are more vocal about their patriotism, playing patriotic songs and making speeches full of national pride. Showing patriotism is so important that politicians will argue with each other about who really has more patriotism.

For instance , in Papua New Guinea when independence date 16th September approaching people around the country would play most popular patriotic songs “One Country/Nation” from late 60s-90s of famous country artists like Kanai Pineri,Barike Band etc…
